Are you familiar with a mini chest of drawers from Ikea called a “moppe”? This tiny chest of drawers is made of birch and comes unfinished. While it can certainly be used as-is, why not take Angie’s cue from decoart.com and create a beautiful and rustic storage unit that can be used anywhere?
Angie gives us a complete list of supplies as well as well-written instructions on how to duplicate her handsome project. Angie began her transformation by painting the outside and front edges of the chest with a delicate green and then she used a walnut stain on the bun feet and the drawers, making sure to stain inside the drawers. Angie actually turned the drawers backward so the original hole for opening and shutting the drawers is in the back. After securing the bun feet to the bottom of the moppe, Angie installed the new drawer pulls to the project.
Her new storage chest can be used just about anywhere small accumulations of things need a home.
