Rustic decors allow nature to come indoors adding warmth and comfort. From Antler lamps to red plaid chairs your room is ready for the soft glow of a fire on a cold winter evening. Wood log stump tables can be only fitting in such a decor. Jolie from Junk Gypsies inspires us with her amazing log transformation.
The most important thing to remember with this project is the weight issue. Logs never appear as heavy as what they are. If you find a log that will work in your decor, be sure someone or something is able to lift it without getting hurt. Once you have your perfect log, Jolie explains how you will remove the bark and any unsightly knots. What is left gets sanded down and then a coat of clear sealer to prevent rotting.
These beautiful accent pieces will provide warmth and function to your decor. Finding a downed cedar log is my next step, as this project is now on my list for my rustic home decor. Thanks for sharing Jolie.
