Wooden Twine and Scissors Holder

When it comes to Pinterest, the pinning is the easy part. It’s making those pins actually come to fruition that presents the greater challenge. So you know Angie at Knick of Time was thrilled to mark this wooden twine holder as “pinned and done,” especially considering she pulled it off for less than a dollar using part of an old chair leg and a small wooden plaque she picked up from the craft store. This is such a darling storage idea that could also work great for ribbon, wasabi tape, and other crafting supplies.

Mason Jar Snowglobes

mason jar snowglobes

Lindsay of Makely created her own little winter wonderland with repurposed mason jars, bottle brush trees, and fake snow. And when I say winter wonderland, I am not kidding! Lindsay made 21 of the adorable snow globes to display together on her antique sideboard. I love the special touch of the red and white twine and tags for a little “Lindsay spin” {wink}.

Felt Mistletoe

When West Elm sold out of felt mistletoe before November even ended, Aimee from It’s Overflowing gathered a few basic crafting supplies to recreate the holiday plant. Floral wire gave life to yarn and felt and made it super easy for Aimee to shape her mistletoe. These are adorable to hang on gifts or in hallways for extra smooches!

Christmas Stocking Pillow

This holiday pillow from Melissa at 320 Sycamore ticks all the boxes – crazy cheap, amazingly easy, very versatile, and oh so cute! Melissa simply glued some twine with mini stockings to a ready-made pillow. But wait there’s more {wink}… Melissa used the reverse side of a snowflake pillow, so all she has to do is flip it over after the holidays for instant winter décor. That Melissa is one smart cookie!

Silver Glass Hurricanes

Terra from Mama Says Sew added some holiday flair to glass hurricanes from the thrift store with silver spray paint. I am loving me some metallics this year, and, of course, think you can never go wrong with a thrift store find and some spray paint {wink}!

Wooden Christmas Tags

christmas wood tags

You may remember the wooden tags Jaime from That’s My Letter created for her front door as an alternative to a wreath for Thanksgiving. Jaime shows that the idea transcends the Thanksgiving season and made a set of chunky Christmas tags too. So simple, so cute, and so versatile!

Ornament Table Runner

ballard inspired hanging ornament table runner

Vanessa from At the Picket Fence has made the official shift from fall to Christmas in her home with this Ballard-inspired table runner. The $15 price tag is much more palatable to my wallet than Ballard’s $79 asking price, and you may be able to whittle it down even more if you’ve got some drop cloth and fabric remnants on hand.  Isn’t it cute how the ornaments appear to be hanging off the table?

Monochromatic Pumpkin Art

monochromatic pumpkin art

Well happy October to you! If you are not a lover of all the orange that comes with fall decorating, check out this monochromatic pumpkin art from Bethany at Pitter and Glink. Bethany came across a cute pillow cover from Pottery Barn that features a neutral color palette with whimsical curling vines. While Bethany didn’t need a pillow cover, she was up for some seasonal wall art and layered various materials to create a pumpkin that’s full of texture!
