Mini Chair Wreaths

Emily from Life on the V Side created a set of miniature wreaths to bring a little Christmas spirit to her chairs. All she needed was grapevine wreaths, floral wire, and some eucalyptus, which Emily preferred over the look of Ballard’s boxwood. That’s the beauty of DIY… you get just what you want without the expense, and quite honestly, I think Emily’s looks much more natural than Ballard’s rather plastic-y boxwood.

Fabric and Ribbon Corkboards

Heather of Fake-It Frugal scored an awesome deal on some corkboards last summer, paying only 75 cents each! They were just your plain old basic corkboards… that is until Heather jazzed them up with fabric, ribbon and beaded trim. We can all use a little more organization in our lives, and it might as well be pretty to boot!

Paper Flag Banner

Heather from Crafting the Night Away was inspired by a pennant banner hanging in a Pottery Barn Kid’s store to make a replica for her daughter’s room. It only requires patterned paper and ribbon, so you could get away with a pretty low bill if you’ve got the supplies on hand. I love the little […Read More]

Ribbon Stripe Curtains

After seeing some curtains with ribbon stripe details in a Ballard catalog, Jeannie from Maxwell House Interiors couldn’t get them off her mind. She eventually decided it couldn’t be too hard to dress up her current panels with some ribbon. If you aren’t a seamstress, you will be happy to learn Jeannie’s no-sew method. Jeannie […Read More]

Christmas Glitter Pillow

Here’s pillow number 3 from my Christmas pillowpalooza over at Infarrantly Creative. I cut the ornaments from glitter transfer paper with my Cameo and then ironed them onto my drop cloth fabric. I added some satin ribbon and sewed up an envelope closure pillow form. I am loving me some glitter lately so the sparkle […Read More]
