Candle pillars can be crazy expensive, but Melissa from The Happier Homemaker found a way to make her own Goliath-sized floor pillar for less than $10. The trick was in upcycling a broken coat rack that was dumpster bound. Melissa just had to replace the top of the coat rack with a circular piece of wood and give the whole shebang a spray with some paint. One coat rack could make an entire set of tabletop pillars or one tall floor pillar like Melissa’s.
