DIY Butterfly Art for a “Flower Garden” Girls Room

butterfly-art.jpg

Tamara from Provident Home Design has decorated her daughter’s room with all things whimsical and girly. In fact, Tamara says she feels like she is “lying in a lovely, little flower garden” whenever she snuggles with her daughter at night. The newest addition to this girly oasis is a butterfly canvas that Tamara made for less than $5 in about two hours. While this is darling for a little girl’s room, it’s also a great way to add a touch of spring to your home décor.

Build a Rustic Wood Twin Bed

pottery-barn-kids-inspired-bed.jpg

Amanda from The Contractor Chronicles whipped this beautiful twin bed up for her son while her husband was away on a trip. It’s Amanda first build by herself and gave her some much needed confidence to pick up the power tools more often. Amanda followed plans from Ana White, making just a few changes along the way since she doesn’t have a Kreg Jig. I’d say this is pretty awesome for a first time build!

Bren of Bren Did created her own Easter bunny banner using printed cardstock, white grosgrain ribbon, and minky faux fur trim. It is an easy and adorable project– all for the bargain price of $5.30. The great news is that you can multiple your Easter décor at a bargain price, but be careful… Bren warns that these garlands multiply like rabbits. She went a little bunny crazy and made four different variations!

Upcycled Light Up Star Wall Décor

pottery-barn-inspired-light-up-star.png

Ya’ll know I am a sucker for an upcycle project, so it’s no wonder I totally love this DIY from Morena of Morena’s Corner. Morena had been trying to figure out how to recreate a  light up star from Pottery Barn Kids, and the answer came in an unlikely form – a Valentine’s candy box. Once Morena got that star-shaped box from her mom, she knew she finally had the supplies she needed to make her own wall décor. What better excuse to wolf down a box of chocolates {Wink}?
