Numbered Storage Baskets

Whether they are on drawers, stools, or baskets, Megan from Balancing Home loves numbers in décor. After repeatedly seeing images of numbers on baskets in her Pottery Barn catalogs, Megan decided it was high time she implemented this design element into her own home. Megan kept it simple by purchasing mailbox numbers in varying styles from the hardware store. I love how they add visual interest to otherwise plain storage baskets.

Bar Stools with Numbered Fabric

Amy and Emily from Sisters of the Wild West were inspired by their love for typography to create barstools with numbered drop cloth cushions. The sisters actually created the fabric themselves using a template they had previously used to stencil a tabletop. The custom upholstery took the barstools from run-of-the-mill to one-of-a-kind. Amy and Emily [...Read More]

Numbered Media Console

Years ago Amanda from Burlap & Denim had scored a chest of drawers for only $50 from an outlet that sells returned items. One of the drawers was missing, but Amanda cleverly stuck a basket in its place and no one was ever the wiser. When Amanda spied Anthro’s numbered chest of drawers, she knew [...Read More]

Stephanie Lynn from Under the Table and Dreaming needed storage to combat the toys that threaten to take over her living area each day. Enter these inexpensive wire bins from Target. They had the industrial look Stephanie Lynn wanted and were about $75 cheaper than her inspiration. (That is $75 cheaper PER basket. Crazy, right?) [...Read More]

Black Distressed Ordinal Dresser

Korrie from Red Hen Home gave this 6-drawer dresser with clean lines a new look by lightly sanding it and then adding some vinyl ordinal numbers. She then painted and distressed it for this worn yet modern look. I love the stately look of the finished piece.  I gotta say that I am lovin’ Korrie’s [...Read More]

Ping Pong Letter and Number Spheres

Suesan from Frou-FruGal spray painted some ping pong balls and added vinyl letters and numbers to make her own decorative spheres. She finished them off with a glossy clear coat to give them a super shiny look. She included all the letters in her family’s name and numbers for the year she was married. I [...Read More]

Wire Storage Shelf with Hook

Lisa from Serendipity Chic Design turned a $2.00 wire basket from Goodwill into her own hanging storage shelf. She simply gave the basket a coat of black spray paint and then got to work on creating the numbered hook. Amazingly, the number is just an image she printed from the internet and then decoupaged to [...Read More]

Distressed Rope Pull Dresser

One of the last big projects Kim from Too Much Time on My Hands completed for her son’s vintage airplane room was this distressed dresser with rope pulls. The project involved sanding (and sanding and sanding…) her son’s original nursery dresser, stenciling on some ordinal numbers, and applying a couple coats of glaze mixed with [...Read More]
