Vintage Framed Map Wall Art

DIY Wall Art | Framed Vintage State Map at

A few days ago I mentioned the State Pride Tour I hosted over at Infarrantly Creative and shared a Pottery Barn-inspired map triptych. Cheryl from Tidy Mom also participated in the fun, representing her home state of Missouri with a framed vintage state map. Cheryl cut her map into four pieces and then placed each one into frames she glammed up with some Rub N Buff. I love the combination of the sophisticated antique map and glitzy gold frames!

Show Your State Pride with Map Wall Art

If you missed the State Pride Tour that I hosted over at Infarrantly Creative last week, then you missed out! I partnered with 30 other bloggers to create projects in honor of the states we love and call home. Roeshel of DIY Show Off was one of the talented gals who joined me on the tour, creating a map triptych from a Pennsylvania road map. Not only did Roeshel save herself $100, but her maps are much more meaningful since they reflect where she was born and raised.

Vintage Decoupage Map

When Rachel from Maison de Pax saw a vintage map of Paris at Restoration Hardware, she knew exactly what could fill that enormous space above her couch. Rachel used to live in Paris so the artwork held a special meaning for her. However, no matter how deep her love for the city, Rachel still couldn’t spend thousands on the map. Instead she created a replica for less than 1/20th the price, and although it cost less, it certainly looks just as good!

Chalkboard Globe Makeover

Lora from Craftivity Designs loves anything globe or map related, so when she saw the Anthropologie Soapstone Globe, she had to recreate it. Lora already had a toy globe on hand that she had picked up at a yard sale for only $2. With some chalkboard paint, it’s now the perfect way to display a sweet note or special quote!

Map Wall Décor

Jessica from Décor Adventures created this stunning map wall as a focal point in the foyer of her 111-year old house. I love how she combined various elements and hung the graphic prints and maps on the wall asymmetrically. There is something very sophisticated yet creative and fun about it. Best of all, it cost […Read More]
