No-Sew Poinsettia Pillow

diy-poinsettia-pillow.jpg

Pottery Barn’s poinsettia pillow has been knocked off by many a DIYers. Adrianna from Crafterhours wanted to put her own spin on the project by utilizing fake poinsettia leaves instead of fabric for her flower. They are realistic looking and offer that same velvety texture as the PB original. If sewing isn’t your thing, you can fire up the hot glue gun and add the petals and jingle bells to a pre-existing pillow. Don’t you love when something that easy looks so pretty?!?

Advent Calendar Pillow

If you are one of my regular Infarrantly Creative readers, then you know I have a thing for counting down to a special holiday or event. Last year I created this advent pillow cover as another way to enjoy the anticipation of counting the days until Christmas. I love how pretty it is, and my kids love moving the candy cane to a new pocket each day!

Poinsettia Pillow

Heather from Thrifty Stories had been oogling Pottery Barn’s poinsettia pillow for over a year now and finally made her own with a zipper closure for easy storage.  This pillow is both elegant and fun with the jingle bell center. My kids would have a blast shaking this pretty pillow whenever they could get their little hands on it!

Christmas Stocking Pillow

This holiday pillow from Melissa at 320 Sycamore ticks all the boxes – crazy cheap, amazingly easy, very versatile, and oh so cute! Melissa simply glued some twine with mini stockings to a ready-made pillow. But wait there’s more {wink}… Melissa used the reverse side of a snowflake pillow, so all she has to do is flip it over after the holidays for instant winter décor. That Melissa is one smart cookie!

Felt Wreath Pillow

Here is a beautiful, yet super simple, DIY holiday pillow from Jody at Homey Home Design that features a felt wreath with pom pom berries on a drop cloth pillow cover. I love how Jody shows that you don’t have to be a master seamstress to make a pretty pillow. A little fabric glue does the job quite nicely with this wreath!

Stenciled Feed Sack Pillow

Pillows made from authentic feed sacks can cost a pretty penny, but Char from Crap I’ve Made shows it’s pretty simple to get the same look for less. Char created her pillow cover from drop cloth and then jollied it up with a stenciled Old Saint Nick. She scuffed up the image with sandpaper for a well-worn, vintage feel. No, it’s not made from a fifty-year-old grain sack, but, personally, I’d rather have a pillow customized with my choice of graphic, text, color, etc.!
