Monogram Hand Towel

This morning I shared some pretty monogrammed soaps that Amy from The Idea Room carved up herself. I love the idea of pairing the soaps with a DIY monogram hand towel for Mom. Amy tells exactly how easy this project is: “This project literally took me about 15 minutes to complete and I had all the products already on hand…Love it when that happens!” Even if you don’t use a Silhouette or their sewable fabric interfacing, you could still easily pull this off by tracing and cutting out your own letter and adhering it with Heat ‘n Bond.

You may remember the bunny ear napkin rings shared here on KOD a couple of weeks ago. Well, Trish from Uncommon Designs also couldn’t pass up on the adding some major cuteness to her table this Easter with a set of the napkin rings. Trish’s technique results in a seamless finish with bunny ears that are super sturdy and will not fray. Plus, she says they are easy to make and may not cost you a penny if you’ve got the materials on hand like she did!

Leaf and Acorns Pillow Cover

With visions of fall dancing in her head, MJ from 517 Creations spied a lovely autumn pillow with a large, brightly colored leaf and acorns gracing the front. Since the almost $100 price tag completely obliterated any idea of actually purchasing the pillow, MJ simply made her own. After adding the acorns and stitching on [...Read More]

Personalized Pennant Wall Décor

Mary Jo from 517 Creations made this pennant to add to her son’s "vintage Americana baseball" bedroom décor. Mary Jo first designed her pennant on the computer before going to work with her felt. She didn’t cut any corners and took the extra step of sewing on the letters instead of just gluing them. What [...Read More]
