Wood and “Metal” Console Table from Scraps
Monica from East Coast Creative says her entryway was in desperate need of a “stylish, but functional table.” Like a $1,099 table from Pottery Barn made from reclaimed wood and steel – except without the $1,099 price tag. Actually, it came with no price tag at all! Monica used wood she had leftover from other projects to build the table and then finished it off with spray paint and stain. It’s amazing how much the metallic spray paint looks like metal. Sure had me fooled!

Katie from Addicted to DIY had been wanting a console table to fill a “dull, empty space” by her front door, but her husband wasn’t game on spending a $1,000 for one. Katie came up with the brilliant plan that they save their hard earned cash and build a table instead of buy one.
