Emily from life{illustrated} is always looking for seasonal art inspiration, and the vintage egg prints from Ballard Designs caught her eye. For Emily, they were “just the right amount of ‘spring’ without looking too cheesy or juvenile.” So Emily headed to the Graphics Fairy and made her own art for FREE! It’s really as simple as printing it out and popping it in a frame!

Decorative Clock Face

Pottery Barn Imitation Clock Face Art

Gina from The Shabby Creek Cottage shares at The Graphics Fairy – DIY how she created a decorative clock face using a round tabletop she found on the side of the road. For this project, Gina used a carbon paper method to transfer the number outlines and then simply painted them in. Of course, I love that this is a rescue! Isn’t it amazing how just some paint can turn an item destined for the landfill into a decorative piece for your home?

For Tammy at A Walk in the Countryside this burlap memo board consumed her thoughts day and night until its completion. You know… it was one of those projects where things just don’t go as planned. However, in the end, Tammy came out the victor in her battle against the burlap. With the adjustable rod and cute burlap pouch, I think Tammy totally nailed the look of her inspiration!

Amanda’s Halloween setup includes creepy crawly spiders, sickening skulls, and spooky framed art. Amanda’s savings compared to Pottery Barn’s version? A whopping $186! Again it goes to show that you don’t have to pay [...Read More]

Colored Butterflies Collage Canvas

Last year, Marian from Maid Marian Made had created a collage for her stepdaughter’s room. Imagine her surprise when Marian was flipping through a Ballard catalog and spotted a similar piece of artwork. Usually she’s the one trying to imitate the designers, not the other way around! Marian layered  pieces like sheet music and handwritten [...Read More]
