Poinsettia Tree Skirt

poinsettia tree skirt

Gail from Purple Hues and Me was truly inspired by a lovely white poinsettia stocking made by Yvonne of StoneGable. When she later stumbled upon an expensive poinsettia tree skirt in Neiman Marcus’ Christmas collection, she knew Yvonne’s tutorial was the ticket to creating her own. I can only imagine it was crazy tedious to cut out all those petals, but the outcome sure is beautiful!

Glitter Photo Ornaments

diy glitter frame ornaments

I love this sweet idea from Jamie at C.R.A.F.T. to create a Christmas tree with a family theme. Of course, a family-themed tree necessitates family photos, and Jamie and her mom whipped up a passel of glittery photo ornaments for only nine cents a piece. How’s that for budget friendly?!?

Dot Christmas Tree Skirt

Jen from Beauty in Bloom replicated the look of a dot and ric-rac tree skirt to create a colorful Christmas tree last year. She used her old tree skirt as a template to sew the new skirt and then glued on her ric-rac and dots to complete the look. I love this fun, unique design and the fact that Jen saved $50 by making it herself. With all the expenses that come with the holidays, that’s much-needed money in the bank!

Scalloped Felt Wreath

I simply adored the simplicity of a scalloped felt wreath from Land of Nod and knew it could be created for a fraction of the price since felt is such an inexpensive fabric. At Infarrantly Creative I walk you through the simple steps I took to die cut the felt and attach it to my foam wreath. The neutral colors make this a great wreath for any décor and season, but the pinecone-esque look makes it perfect for fall!

Halloween Countdown Calendar

Courtenay from The Creek Line House has had Halloween fever for the past several weeks and couldn’t wait any longer to get her craft on for the occasion. She says, “When I saw this Halloween countdown calendar in the latest PBK catalogue, I just had to see if I could make one as easily as I thought I could. With just some felt from Michael’s and a few packs of
letter stickers, I created something almost identical… for about $11 instead of $59.”

Personalized Pennant

For all my Infarrantly Creative readers, you know I recently helped my sister-in-law with several projects in preparation for her little one on the way. She was loving the look of some personalized pennants for both of her boys’ sports-themed rooms. I was able to replicate them with some felt and my Silhouette Cameo, which […Read More]

Rosette Pillow Cover

The beautiful sculpted flowers on a Pottery Barn pillow caught the eye of Terra from Mama Says Sew and inspired her to make her own. Terra created her blooms from fleece for a super soft pillow. Although, after all the work of cutting, rolling, and gluing the flowers, Terra intends to use this pillow for […Read More]
