Men and sports seem to go together like peanut butter and jelly, and what better way for Dad to support his team than with an etched glass? Stephanie from Full of Great Ideas used a vinyl stencil and etching cream to add an NFL logo to plain glasses. These would make great gifts for Father’s Day, and, of course, the idea isn’t limited to football alone. Just create the stencil of your choice and etch away!
Tara from Suburble shares at Crafts Unleashed how she gave some dollar store candle holders a wintery makeover with etching cream. For one of the holders, Tara created unique snowflake stencils for each side using her Silhouette Cameo. The other features a fun candy cane-esque diagonal stripe that was easily achieved with painter’s tape. Tara says, “ Wouldn’t these votive candle holders look so sweet wrapped up in cellophane and gifted to a hostess this holiday season? Or make a pair (or a trio…) and present them as a personalized gift!”
Natalie from Sophisticated Yellow shares how to easily update a set of old glasses or stemware with an etched mon0grammed. Natalie created her own stencil using a sticker label and then simply brushed on etching cream. Within a couple of hours, she had a full set of fabulous wine glasses. Natalie suggests stocking your bar with these custom glasses or giving them as gifts with a nice bottle of wine.
