Textured Metallic Vase

For months you’ve been prowling through thrift stores looking for that special something, and then one day you finally see it. Heart pumping you snatch it from the shelf and hold your treasure close. Sound familiar? That must have been how Debbie from One Day at a Time felt when she finally found a vase that was the perfect size and shape to turn into a Crate & Barrel look-a-like. Debbie used spackle to create texture and then glammed it up with some silver spray paint.

Painted Stripe Curtains

As I recently shared on Infarrantly Creative, I am changing things up in my family room after about ten years of the same color scheme. My first big undertaking was painting striped curtains. I absolutely love how they came out and cannot believe the difference they make!

Galvanized Bucket Tree Skirt

I have had my share of roadside rescue, but this find from Candace at Vintage News Junkie is a new one to me! She was cruising down the interstate when she came across a big ol’ 8-foot Christmas tree. Of course, she scooped that baby up and toted it home but how to display her prized find??? Candace opted for an unconventional galvanized tub instead of a tree skirt and created a video tutorial so you can make your own!
