Ashley from My Craftily Ever After has lots of fun built-ins in her house but was lacking decorative accessories for the shelves. She decided to recreate some pretty candle holders from West Elm using a fun painting technique with food coloring. While Ashley’s inspiration was only $6, she was still about to beat it using all items she had around the house, making her candle holders freebies!
While strolling the aisles of Target, Beth from B & B Build a Better Life found a cute candle stand designed to hold an arrangement of pillars. Beth loved the concept, and even though the price wasn’t too shabby, she knew she could make something even better and cheaper. Off to ReStore she went, and the results are fabulous!
Liz of Infuse with Liz was inspired to create a pretty Indian corn candle centerpiece like one she spied in Pottery Barn’s catalog. Attaching the corn to the glass bowl proved a little troublesome, but in the end Liz pulled it all together… literally… with some twine {wink}. You can leave your corn au natural like Liz did or glam it up with gold paint like PB’s version.
