Mary from At Home on the Bay is a lady who loves artwork. Combine artwork AND letters, and she’s hooked! Mary made these artistic letters by covering paper mache letters with “paintings” printed on fabric. Even with purchasing several materials, Mary still made all five letters for only $20. I love this fun and fresh take on the typography trend!
Kelli at The Turquoise Piano made this gorgeous rosette quilt for her daughter’s crib using a $5 twin sheet from Wal-mart. The cost comes more in patience and perseverance in creating and sewing together all the little squares. However, it goes without saying that the end result is absolutely stunning!
During her monthly sewing group, Terra from Mama Says Sew made these gorgeous ruffled pillowcases with contrast stitching. From a king-sized sheet, the ladies were able to make several sets, and the price came out to only $3 per pillowcase. I simply adore the pop of color in the turquoise thread and how it ties into Terra’s other pillow. Who would think such a little bit of thread would make such an impact!
Erica from Craftivity Designs has been working on her home office and found a cute and thrifty way to store small supplies by repurposing baby food jars. Erica made the jars pretty with paint and then added chalkboard labels for organization. And isn’t everything just better with a chalkboard finish {wink}? This is such a simple project that would be useful throughout the house – spices in the kitchen, bath salts in bathroom, game pieces in the playroom…
Sherry from Pondered Primed Perfected put a fresh spin on a project she completed last summer upcycling strawberry cartons. This go-round Sherry dressed up the cartons with pastel paint, glitter, and ribbons for a look that’s befitting of spring and Easter. Sherry’s steps result in a durable, waterproof finish so the containers can be used again and again as tabletop décor, mini Easter baskets, and even gift baskets for friends.
Honor from Home Heart Craft really takes Sharpie art to a whole new level with this project! Wanting to “add a little more color and spice to [her] kitchen cabinet,” Honor recreated a set of vibrant floral mugs she fell in love with from Anthropologie using just Sharpies. Honor says she simply doodled away on her mugs while referencing her inspiration photo. I’m really blown away by her artistry!
With the rise of the metallic trend, Erica from Craftivity Designs wanted to bring some gold touches into her bedroom. She also loves polka dots and found a way to bring the two together in one cute little package. All Erica had to do was add circles with a metallic Sharpie to Wal-mart knobs for instant style. She guarantees that this is a simple, affordable project that anyone can do!

Amanda from Be Sweet beautified a bulletin board by turning her leftover yo-yos into pushpins. These are so stinkin’ cute and a great way to add style to something as useful as a memo board.
