Recently I got the opportunity to get to try out the newSwitch & Go Dinos from Vtech. Well actually I didn’t…but my 6 year old son got to try them out. He recently went on a solo trip for a week at Grandma’s house in GA (a.k.a “the best week ever”). When he came home I had the Switch & Go Dinos as a surprise welcome home gift for him.
What I love most about these is that you can actually transform them without a doctorate degree. Have you ever tried to transform a Bakugan or a Transformer? Holy nelly…I had the directions and still couldn’t do it. On the first try Isaac was able to transform them from dinosaurs to cars and from cars back to dinosaurs.
The package says this is for ages 3-8. While my son did enjoy these immensely I am not sure older than 6 would prefer it over Transformers or Bakugans or some other transforming villain. I would say the perfect age to enjoy this toy would be 4-5.
Some of the cool features is that while in car mode you can switch out the computerized drivers…
And while in Dino mode your can switch out the eyes on the Dino…
At $14.99 I think it is a great birthday party gift. I am always looking for toys under $20 for all the birthday parties my children get invited to. I would definitely buy this for a boy ages 3-6.
