Simple, Elegant, Wall Decor

Sometimes the simple things make all the difference when it comes to decorating. In this case, a grater became a lovely flower holder and a wall decor item at the same time. Colleen from Life on Kaydeross Creek shows with good pictures and instructions how to make this farmhouse friendly item.

Using weathered wood and her grater, she gave the wood a quick coat of chalk paint to make the grater stand out. Not only did she make one, she was inspired by how well it turned out to make two more. Do you have antique food tools that need to be on display? This project is easy enough to complete and will work great in a farmhouse or shabby chic decor.

If you do not have any kitchen tools you will probably have good luck finding them at yard sales or vintage shops. A great project that is not only simple but yet quite elegant.
