Do you have an accent wall either inside or outside that could use a make-over? Alicia at Thriftyandchic had a large space that needed a statement piece and so this mirror was created. This mirror can be a unique addition to any room. It has a high-end look for a fraction of the cost to purchase at a home goods store. Alicia used cedar planks to construct her mirror, but almost any wood can be used.
She takes us step-by-step through the process of cutting the wood, securing it together and adhering the mirror to the finished piece. Although Alicia was going for a rustic look and stained and varnished her piece, it would look equally modern and sleek painted a color that would accent your decor.
With the proper finishing, this piece can be used indoors or outdoors. If you prefer, you could always attach a clock instead of a mirror for a totally different look. The finished piece is about 50 inches in circumference, but this can be adapted also.
