Have you recently remodeled your kitchen, or do you know someone who has? If you have access to the old cabinet doors from a remodel, then you’re in luck.
Once you see what Gail from myrepurposedlife has done with some of her stash of cabinet doors, you’ll want to re-create this project which results in a beautiful shelf and hooks for hanging all sorts of objects. The supply list is very short for this project: the cabinet door, some scrap 1 X 4’s or 1 X 6’s, some paint, some hooks, and hanging hooks for the back. Once the board was secured to the door, Gail used a chalky paint to spray paint the door and shelf. Once they were dry, Gail sanded the door with some brown paper and applied a coat of clear wax.
Finally, she cut out letters from vinyl and adhered them to the front of the door and screwed in some hooks. This project can easily be adapted to a large variety of cabinet doors.
