Wanna put a modern twist on the traditional nutcracker this holiday season? Check out these silver and white beauties from Allison at House of Hepworths. It’s hard to believe they were once rather scary-looking nutcrackers with crazy hair from the dollar store. Allison gave them a sleek, monochromatic makeover with some silver and white spray paint. Much better I’d say!
Her original inspiration came from the $24 Novelty Nutcrackers from West Elm.

I love these! I had put on my calendar to pull my nutcrackers out sometime this summer to repaint them, because, as much as I love them, their color scheme is not what I want any more. I was just going to change their uniforms, but now I may just make it even easier and just paint them monochrome!! Gorgeous!

I know who would have thought that just painting them makes them so unique and fun. I will look at ugly nutcrackers in a whole new way now.
