Achieving the right amount of light in a bedroom may prove difficult. Usually there is an overhead ceiling fan with lights or a stationary overhead lamp. Nonetheless, the lighting is never sufficient for reading in bed. Anu from Nalle’s House came up with a clever way of adding lights beside her bed. Using a bracket from Ikea and cage lights from Target, she was able to make a simple and functional light source.
The bracket already has the hole drilled into the top, but you will have to widen it to fit the plug through the hole. These lamps would work great in a modern farmhouse decor as well.
If you plan on using them in a child’s room, be sure to hide the cords inside the wall to prevent children from hanging on them. Functional and very modern, a great project that will solve lighting issues in the bedroom.
