Mercury Glass Ornaments

Christina of The Frugal Homemaker loves mercury glass and found a way to easily create her own ornaments with barely any expense. Here’s from Christina: “I used a box of 12 glass ornaments I picked up at a yard sale for $1 and spray painted them with Krylon Looking Glass spray paint to make them into DIY mercury glass ornaments.  Love the look and can’t beat the price!”

  1. Rosemary Palmer says:

I bought some of this paint but haven’t tried it yet. A friend said she used this on a lot of clear glass but she sprayed on just a bit of water before the looking glass paint and it gave it the older look of mercury glass. She said to just make sure to NOT spray after the paint or it will ruin the effect of it. Like I said I haven’t tried it, but she’s had great results.

  2. I guess we will having a new theme for our Christmas tree this coming holiday, glitters really do make tings more beautiful I will definitely try glass ornament idea.
