If you have picked up a piece of furniture from the thrift store, you may think it would be easy to paint the piece to give it a brand new look.
Unfortunately painting furniture isn’t always as easy as you might think. Some paint types won’t hold, and certainly nothing will hold if you forget to sand the piece!
Tasha from Designer Trapped has a great tutorial for how to paint a piece of wood furniture, including how to remove a previously bad paint job.
This was Tasha’s dresser before the fresh coat of paint, she had originally painted it with latex and it was peeling horribly.
This is the dresser after a coat of premium chalk paint and a good wax.
Head over to Designer Trapped to see how Tasha did it!
