Carrie from My Creative Escapes needed a creative decorating solution for an awkward alcove at the top of her stairs. She knew it would involve Ana White’s plans for building her own ledges but wanted to do a little something extra to really draw attention to the space. Since Carrie has recently become interested in photography this was like the perfect space to spotlight some of her work. She decided to wallpaper a portion of the wall and then trim it out with molding. I don’t usually dabble much in wallpaper, but I really like this damask pattern. It kicks up the elegance factor quite a bit. I will be excited to see the wall when it’s all decked out with Carrie’s photos!
Carrie’s ledges are similar to the Holman Ledge from Pottery Barn.
