I got the insane opportunity to get my windows cleaned (inside and out plus window screens!) by Fish Window Cleaning. This is the part about blogging that I LOOOOVE! We moved into our home 4 years ago and have never had our windows washed. I cleaned the lower windows once when they had gotten really bad. Apparently my windows were nasty, although said much kinder by the Fish Cleaning crew.
Seriously who let’s their windows get like that?…
Bill & Josie Soots own the Fish Window Cleaning franchise in my neck of the woods. Bill followed up after the visit to make sure I was satisfied and answer some questions I had. He suggested that you clean your windows twice a year in order to maintain the appearance and take care of your screens.
After seeing the huge difference getting your windows cleaned makes I am definitely putting away the money to have it done once each year. Yes, I could do it myself, but to spend 8 hours of my weekend doing that?… I think I’d rather add it to the budget. It would have cost $200 for my 18 windows inside and out plus screens and a slider door.
Fish Window Cleaning also makes their own product called Fish Foam Cleaner. I must say I was impressed with the product. Normally I use the Shaklee Get Clean products on my windows and have been happy with that for the last 2 years. The thing I like about this product is that it foams whereas other cleaners drip down and it is always a race to clean it before it runs off the glass or mirror. It is also alcohol based (not ammonia based so that helps cut threw the grease, which I clearly have on my window above the sink (see picture above).
If you’re looking into a great, affordable window cleaning for your homes windows, then I highly recommend Fish Window Cleaning. They are all over the US, with tons of locations in each state. If you’re interested in trying out some Fish Foam window cleaner, then you can purchase that, easily, from the Fish Foam Store.
