What do you do with a piece of furniture that has sentimental value to you but just doesn’t fit into your decor? You make it over, of course. Kandice from justthewoods had a client who was given a curio cabinet that had belonged to her grandmother.
She loved the cabinet, but it was dated and didn’t fit into her decor. Kandice began the makeover by removing the glass, the inside light, and the back panel. Kandice supplies us with complete instructions on how to prep a piece of furniture for painting which is what she did at this point. Her customer chose a fabric with a French script design to be used to line the back of the cabinet. Kandice gives step-by-step directions with detailed photos on the process of applying the fabric to the back of the cabinet.
Finally, the cabinet was painted and sealed with a clear poly so it was clean and smooth looking.
