DIY How to Make an Aesthetic Slatted Bench (Easily!)

Aesthetic Slatted Bench

Kelsey and Becky from “The Sorry Girls” have outdone themselves with a stunning DIY slatted bench project.

Inspired by HK Living’s $849 slatted teak bench (ouch!), they crafted their own version for under $50—a true budget-friendly triumph!

They started with affordable lumber: eight 2x4s and three 1x4s, all 72 inches long.

After precise measuring and cutting, they assembled the bench using wood glue and screws, ensuring a sturdy build.

A thorough sanding smoothed out the surfaces, and a rich wood stain added that high-end finish.

What I really love about these gals is how they demystify the process, making it accessible even for beginner woodworkers.

Their step-by-step guide is clear and encouraging, proving that stylish, quality furniture doesn’t have to break the bank.!
