Jena Roach pulled off an incredible transformation with this DIY bougie desk, and I am obsessed!
She started with a thrifted end table that needed some serious love.
To give it a high-end look, she added fluting with half-round trim and built out the arches using ¾-inch plywood with a router jig.
She doubled up the arches to make them extra thick—nice and perky.
To make everything seamless, she used edge banding, creating the illusion of one solid, custom board.
Then came the magic: she borrowed a domino cutter (so fancy!) to create super-strong joints using wooden tenons.
After staining and sealing, she brought it up to her playroom and assembled the whole thing, adding a lazy Susan base for that smooth swivel action.
And let me tell you—it turned out SO good. Like, designer-level good.
