Mark Montano loves entertaining during the holiday season and hit up the dollar store to create a bright and cheery tablescape.
One of his creations were butterfly plates that were inspired by $129 decoupage plates.
You know Mark’s plates didn’t cost that much! He used a food safe technique too that involves applying the image and paint to the underside of a glass paint.
You can see the image through the glass AND still eat off them without risk of poisoning. I love this idea, and it could be used with a variety of images, text, and patterns.
The sky’s the limit!
Mark was inspired by the Mirrored Butterfly Plate from John Derian.
