Anika from Anika’s DIY Life crafted a similar ottoman a couple of years back, but was not happy with the beginner look of her upholstery. With some fresh inspiring fabric, a few tools, and some batting she got to work making an updated version. A Home Dec weight fabric will give you the durability you need when stretching and stapling the fabric to the wood frame. Good quality foam and high loft batting will smooth out the surface of the upholstery by removing any lumps and bumps.
This DIY project will take several hours to complete, but the result is a comfy place to put up your feet and relax at the end of the day. With the added bonus of storage, this project is well worth the time and investment.
