KC from The Real Thing with the Coake Family was making over her 13-year-old’s bedroom when they spotted an amazing piece of wall art from Pottery Barn Teen. It said “Dream Colorfully” in graduated rainbow lettering and was just perfect for her daughter’s bedroom. Unfortunately, it was $99 and with only $600 to work with for the whole bedroom, KC decided she could DIY her own. She picked up a similarly sized piece of MDF board from Home Depot and dug into her collection of craft paints to find the right colors. She used a graduated color scheme, so each letter blends seamlessly into the next.
Her finished wall art is spectacular and goes so well with her daughter’s bright bedding.
This is the Pottery Barn Teen original, which is a little more washed out in the color scheme (and $99!)
