Black and White Abstract Wall Art

When Melaine from My Sweet Savannah saw an abstract black and white canvas in the Wisteria catalog, she couldn’t help but think how simple it would be to knock off. And it just so happened that she had a canvas sitting around. Sounds like the perfect recipe for a little DIY wall art to me! […Read More]

Industrial Style Media Console

When it comes to shopping for decorative accessories, HomeGoods is generally one of the first stops for Katie from Upcycled Treasures. However, it’s also one of her favorites stores for inspiration – especially when she came across a budget-breaking $500 console that she loved.  Luckily, Katie was able to find the DIY building plans online […Read More]

Narrow Console Table with Marble Top

Tamara from Provident Home Design had a space behind her dining table that was just big enough for a narrow console table. Bold and Beautiful Painted Stripe Vase

Tamara from Provident Home Design had been crushing on a blue and white striped lamp from Wisteria for quite some time. Paint Your Own Abstract Spring Art

Did you realize that yesterday was the first official day of spring? Tamara from Provident Home Design added a little touch of spring to her mantel with a DIY canvas painting that exudes a bright and airy vibe. Even if you consider yourself a non-artist, don’t write this project off. Tamara says she is not a painter but still decided to test her luck and learned a lot along the way. Now she has a pretty painting to show for it!

Blue and Green Abstract Statement Art

With a large, blank vaulted wall behind her sofa, Aly of Entirely Eventful Day knew she needed something there and that it needed to be BIG. Large pieces of artwork definitely do not come cheap, so Aly hit up the craft store to paint her own abstract wall art. Aly says, “I may not be ready for the art galleries… But I saved hundreds of dollars, it fills the space and adds interest and color… and I love it!”

Vintage Framed Map Wall Art

A few days ago I mentioned the State Pride Tour I hosted over at Infarrantly Creative and shared a Pottery Barn-inspired map triptych. Cheryl from Tidy Mom also participated in the fun, representing her home state of Missouri with a framed vintage state map. Cheryl cut her map into four pieces and then placed each one into frames she glammed up with some Rub N Buff. I love the combination of the sophisticated antique map and glitzy gold frames!

Leaf and Acorn Applique Pillow Cover

MJ from 517 Creations spied a lovely autumn pillow with a large, brightly colored leaf and acorns gracing the front. Since the almost $100 price tag completely obliterated any idea of actually purchasing the pillow, MJ simply made her own. MJ stitched a vein detail onto the leaf and then used Heat N’ Bond to attach it to the pillow fabric. She finished it off by stitching around the edges for a lovely fall applique.
