Chain Necklace Vase

CHAINED-VASE-1024x1024

Morena of Morena’s Corner for Crafts Unleashed created this amazing chained vase that is a knockout with or without flowers. I honestly love Morena’s vase more than her inspiration. The decorative clasps and variation in chain thickness just make it prettier in my book!

Ruffled Burlap Lampshade

make-your-own-ruffled-lampshade.jpg

Amy from Mom Advice put the finishing touch on her daughter’s bedroom update with a girly lampshade. Amy refabbed her daughter’s previous shade by covering it with burlap and then adding all those glorious ruffles that make it so much fun. I love the choice of the burlap with its texture and slightly frayed edges.

Pom Pom Wreath

In an attempt to boost her holiday spirit, Linda from It All Started with Paint created a little Christmas eye candy using a dollar store wreath and handmade wool pom poms. I simply love the look and texture of those big pom poms and the fact that this wreath is not reserved for Christmas alone. The thick wool is a great look for winter too!

Paper Christmas Tree

“Oh Christmas tree. Oh Christmas tree. How lovely are your branches pages.” Pages? That’s right! This Christmas tree from Dana at Wonder Forest is made from repurposed music book pages. Dana cut paper squares a plenty and then stacked them up to make this pretty paper tree. If you can operate scissors or a paper cutter, then you’re fully equipped to make your own!

Mason Jar Snowglobes

mason jar snowglobes

Lindsay of Makely created her own little winter wonderland with repurposed mason jars, bottle brush trees, and fake snow. And when I say winter wonderland, I am not kidding! Lindsay made 21 of the adorable snow globes to display together on her antique sideboard. I love the special touch of the red and white twine and tags for a little “Lindsay spin” {wink}.

Branch Letter Ornament

anthro inspired branch letter

It certainly hasn’t escaped the notice of Danie from [a few good things] that some of Anthropologie’s yummy eye candy is easily reproducible. In fact, she recreated one of their monogrammed ornaments using only two materials – sticks and yarn. While $8 may not seem too steep to actually purchase something from Anthropologie, I’ll take Danie’s free version any day! Especially since it looks like it could be right there in the catalog!

Pom Pom Wreath

Easy-Anthropologie-Knockoff-Cream-Tufted-Wool-Wreath-Tutorial-ItsOverflowing.com2_.jpg

I am totally digging all the alternatives to the traditional Christmas wreath that have been floating around. This fluffy yarn wreath made by Aimee from It’s Overflowing takes the cake! I love all the texture, and literally all you need is some yarn and a wreath form. I honestly think Aimee’s wreath is waaay better than its $128 Anthropologie counterpart.
