Butterfly Mobile for a Little Girl’s Room

Rena of The Cheese Thief and contributor at Crafts Unleashed recreated a butterfly chandelier she spotted at Pottery Barn using wax paper and bakers twine. The wax paper is perfect for achieving a light, airy feel and giving the appearance of fluttering butterfly wings. What a great way to lend a magical note to a little girlā€™s room!

DIY Home Decor ~ How pretty is this Pottery Barn knock off butterfly mobile that was made with wax paper? Love it!

  1. Beautiful! This is one of the closest knock offs I’ve seen in a while. Just last week my 5 yr old daughter and I replaced her ‘under the sea’ wall stickers to a bunch of butterflies. This mobile would be great for her room, especially if I incorporate it to a bed canopy (mosquito netting) she wants . Great job, Rena.
