This Tarva dresser makeover from Carolane at Dupetitdoux is a fine example of creativity and design. Not only did she take a plain dresser and make it a conversation piece, she modified the legs for a mid-century modern appeal.
She added drawer pulls and metal label holders to make it appear more as an apothecary and stained it a dark color. The overall effect was an amazing transformation. If you have 18 drawer pulls to stain like Carolane, follow her advice and use a piece of floral foam to hold them in place as this will make things easier. Once you have the pulls stained attach them and the label holders to the dresser. Carolane used tape to make a straight edge when attaching the metal label holders. This idea can be used in other projects when you have to keep everything in line. This transformation is amazing and well worth the time and effort to make your own apothecary dresser.
