April from House by Hoff wanted to spice up her summer vacation with a little bit of DIY, and what better way to do that than to make a piece of rustic Americana art that can stay up all year long? April used a pre-made pallet wood sign from the craft store for her project, but if you are feeling handy you can easily make your own from actual pallet wood. Just cut it down to the size you want and remove the bottom half of the pallet. April stained her pallet first, and then went over it with some white paint and star shapes to make the stars and stripes we all recognize. It looks great hanging over her mantle!
