Aged Spackle Lamp Base

Christine from First Home… Love Life… wanted to create a lamp with a salvaged, architectural look. She scored a $5.00 lamp at a thrift store that had just the right shape for the project. To achieve an aged look she coated it spackle, leaving lots of dents and crevices. She finished it off with some dark walnut spray paint and a self-made glaze to add depth. I love Christine’s use of spackle in this project. What a simple and inexpensive means of adding texture to a piece!
